Performance and Valuation

The market value of spirit or balsamic casks may evolve over time depending on the market, the producer, or storage conditions.
Value estimates are provided for informational purposes only and are based on internal criteria and sector data.
There is no official index or regulated market allowing for an objective or standardized valuation of such goods.

General Terms

All sales are final and non-refundable.

Payments must be made in Swiss francs (CHF) but may also be accepted in USD, EUR, or GBP, depending on the product and/or producer.
Payments are due in full upon receipt of the invoice, without deduction, set-off, or discount, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
No action (reservation, transfer, storage, etc.) will be taken until the funds have been received in AlpTrade Consulting's bank account.
If cleared funds are not received within 7 days, the order may be canceled and the casks made available for resale.

Casks remain stored under bond in the authorized warehouses of AlpTrade Consulting's partners.
Any release (bottling, transport, etc.) is subject to prior payment of duties and VAT, which are borne by the client.

Insurance and Storage

Insurance policies vary depending on the warehouse and the producer.
Some warehouses offer limited coverage (fire, theft, etc.), while others do not.
It is the client's responsibility to obtain their own complementary insurance to cover the value of their casks and to ensure regular updates to such coverage.
Upon request, AlpTrade Consulting may provide an insurance quote issued by its partners, but does not act as an intermediary or insurance advisor.

Natural Loss and Liability

AlpTrade Consulting cannot be held liable for any natural or non-natural loss of volume or alcohol content that may occur during storage or handling of casks.
The "angel's share" is an inherent part of the natural maturation process — referring to the evaporation of a portion of the contents (alcohol and water for spirits, humidity and water for balsamic).
The evaporation rate varies according to storage conditions and the type of cask.

Limitation of Liability

AlpTrade Consulting, its directors, employees, and partners shall not be held liable for any damage or loss, direct or indirect, of any kind, arising from a purchase or from the use of the information contained on this website or in related documents.
