The barrels of spirits and balsamic vinegar offered by Alptrad Consulting consist exclusively of tangible goods and physical merchandise.

They do not constitute, under any circumstances:

  • financial products, investments, or placements,

Suitability

The acquisition of barrels of spirits or balsamic vinegar involves certain personal considerations.
Before proceeding with a purchase, it is recommended to carefully assess your expectations, your financial situation, and your understanding of the product.
If necessary, you may seek advice from an independent professional to determine whether this type of acquisition is suitable for your needs and profile.

It is recommended to allocate only funds that are not required in the short term and to consider such acquisitions as a collecting, enjoyment, or passion-driven decision, rather than as a financial transaction or investment.

Risks

The acquisition of barrels of spirits or balsamic vinegar involves non-regulated tangible goods.

Such acquisitions entail inherent product-related risks, including but not limited to:

  • natural evaporation of the contents over time ("angel's share"),

  • potential fluctuations in demand and market conditions,

  • ongoing storage and preservation costs,

  • absence of an organised market or guaranteed liquidity upon potential resale,

  • no guarantee regarding future value development.

The market value of these goods may increase or decrease depending on market conditions, storage, and the producer.
Past market developments are not necessarily indicative of future conditions.

Any purchase decision should be made with full awareness and personal responsibility, based on your own assessment and, where appropriate, after consulting an independent advisor.

Value and Assessment

The market value of barrels of spirits or balsamic vinegar may change over time depending on market conditions, the producer, and storage conditions.

Any value assessments are provided on an indicative and non-official basis, based on internal criteria and industry data.
There is no official or regulated market allowing for an objective or uniform valuation of such tangible goods.

Key Conditions – Notice

All acquisitions are final and non-refundable.

The purchase price is payable in full upon receipt of the invoice, without deduction, set-off, or discount, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments are generally made in Swiss francs (CHF), but may also be requested in USD, EUR, or British pounds, depending on the product concerned and/or the producer.

No reservation, release, or other action will be carried out until the purchase price has been received in full.
Depending on the structure of the transaction, payment may be made directly to the producer or to the entity responsible for storage, in accordance with the instructions provided.

The barrels remain stored under customs bond in licensed warehouses operated by Alptrad Consulting's partners.
Any release (bottling, transport, or other operation) is subject to the prior payment of duties and VAT, which are borne by the customer.

The full and binding contractual terms are set out in the General Terms and Conditions.

Insurance and Storage

Insurance coverage varies depending on the warehouse and the producer.
Some warehouses provide limited insurance (e.g. fire, theft), while others do not.

It is the customer's responsibility to arrange their own additional insurance and to regularly review and adjust coverage according to the value of the barrels.
Upon request, Alptrad Consulting may forward insurance offers issued by its partners, but does not act as an insurance intermediary or advisor.

Natural Loss and Liability

Alptrad Consulting shall not be held liable for any natural or non-natural loss of volume or alcohol content occurring during storage or movement of the barrels.

The so-called "angel's share" is an inherent part of the maturation process and refers to the evaporation of part of the contents (water and alcohol for spirits, water and humidity for balsamic vinegar).
Evaporation rates vary depending on storage conditions and barrel type.

Limitation of Liability

Alptrad Consulting, its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage or loss arising from a purchase or from the use of the information contained on this website or in any related documents.

All information is provided "as is", without any express or implied warranty.
